Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Calhoun). They blew past the Brownell Talbot Raiders 62-26 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Pioneers have posted against the Raiders since December 29, 2016.

Raeann Massey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 of 18 en route to 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024. Maelie Nelson was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Fort Calhoun was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brownell Talbot only racked up five assists.

Despite the loss, Brownell Talbot still got an impressive performance from Abbi Gibbs, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. That was a full 73.1% of Brownell Talbot's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

The victory was the third in a row for Fort Calhoun, bringing their record for this year to 11-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Brownell Talbot, they moved to 8-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Fort Calhoun won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Concordia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Calhoun has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Brownell Talbot, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Parkview Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brownell Talbot is facing Parkview Christian at the right time seeing as Parkview Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
