Soccer Game Preview: Bowie vs. Clint

The Bowie Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Clint Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Things were looking good for Bowie after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against San Elizario, falling 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Bowie's goal came courtesy of Kenya Contreras, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Clint faced off against Austin on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Austin who was credited with the win. Austin got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Clint's one. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clint's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1.
