Softball Recap: Tri-Valley Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Tri-Valley came out on top against Heyworth on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Vikings took their contest against the Hornets 8-5. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ellie Dehner looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Paige Fesler, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Zoey Whittaker, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Tri-Valley, bringing their record up to 14-2-1. As for Heyworth, they moved to 8-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
