Casa Roble is 1-7 against El Camino since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Casa Roble Rams will host the El Camino Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Casa Roble has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Last Tuesday, Casa Roble was fully in charge, breezing past Woodland 81-54. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 27 points or more this season.

Casa Roble had a senior duo take command as Benny Ambriz went 10 of 12 en route to 25 points and Moses Oginni went 8 for 13 on his way to 20 points and seven boards. Ambriz's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ace Villegas, who posted six points and five rebounds.
Casa Roble smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for El Camino, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-43 win over Rio Linda on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Casa Roble better keep an eye on Gavin Bennett. He was instrumental in El Camino's win, putting up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Trey Turner, who scored ten points.
Casa Roble's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for El Camino, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-11.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Ambriz and Mitchell Stevenson. Ambriz has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 18.2 points, 1.8 steals, and 3.3 boards on 55.2% shooting. For his part, Stevenson has averaged 14.9 points.
Casa Roble was dealt a bruising 69-27 defeat at the hands of El Camino in their previous matchup back in February of 2018. Thankfully for Casa Roble, Hayden Watts (who made all 8 shots he took to post 18 points and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
