Baseball Recap: Scripps Ranch Comes Up Short

Scripps Ranch managed to slip by Granite Hills the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Scripps Ranch came up short against Granite Hills on Friday, falling 7-1. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Scripps Ranch saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Chuang, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that Chuang scored this season.

Scripps Ranch has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Granite Hills pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Scripps Ranch will take on Montgomery at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Granite Hills, they will host Point Loma at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Granite Hills 2, Point Loma 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
