Softball Recap: Kosciusko Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

Kosciusko won against Greenwood on Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Kosciusko didn't even let Greenwood on the board, marking Kosciusko's second-straight 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Whippets, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kosciusko has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Greenwood and nudges their season record down to 5-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kosciusko will head out to challenge Ethel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenwood, they will venture away from home to take on Amanda Elzy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
