Volleyball Recap: Waunakee Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Waunakee walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Holmen Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Waunakee was led to victory by Amy Denkert and Kendall Scadden. Denkert had 12 assists and seven digs, while Scadden had 13 digs and three assists. Denkert is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.

Waunakee is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 40-8 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Holmen fell to 31-1.

Waunakee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Kimberly on the 6th. Holmen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
