Volleyball Recap: Northview Vikings vs. Acaciawood Golden Eagles
With a playoff game on the line, Northview rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Acaciawood Golden Eagles by a score of 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on six straight.
Northview walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 25-12.
Jennylyn Gozun paced Northview's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gozun got some help from
Ava Frymark and her 25 assists. Frymark was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Northview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season. As for Acaciawood, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-8.
Northview has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Covina on the 26th. Acaciawood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
