Baseball Recap: Cleveland Heights Comes Up Short

Cleveland Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 16-0 to the Strongsville Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Thursday.

Cleveland Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Strongsville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cleveland Heights will square off against Hawken at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Strongsville, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mentor at 5:00 p.m.
