It was a good run, but Countryside Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 14-10 to the Bell Bulldogs. The Minutemen were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Tristan Weathers and Brayden Dalton stepped up to the plate in a big way. Weathers scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Dalton scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Weathers also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Eli Gruenwald, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Countryside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Bell, their record is now 11-9.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Countryside Christian will square off against Oak Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bell, they will take on Dixie County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
