Basketball Recap: Beatty Comes Up Short

Beatty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 57-11 loss at the hands of the McDermitt Bulldogs.

McDermitt was led to victory by Shandon Camas and Warrick Crutcher. Camas dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards, while Crutcher went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points and seven steals. Camas is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Scott, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Beatty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for McDermitt, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Beatty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 27-20 loss against Lund on the 14th. As for McDermitt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 32-19 win against Liberty Baptist Academy on the 14th.
