Brookland-Cayce gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles 3-2. For the Bearcats, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 victory the War Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2016.

Brookland-Cayce saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Bullis, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Thomas Donadio also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Brookland-Cayce's record is now 6-7. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.

Brookland-Cayce will have a chance to go back-to-back against the War Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
