Baseball Recap: East Marion Takes a Loss

East Marion fell victim to Resurrection Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against Resurrection Catholic, falling 9-0. The loss continues a trend for East Marion in their meetings with Resurrection Catholic: they've now lost eight in a row.

East Marion saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Lewis, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Larry Thompson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

East Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Resurrection Catholic, their win was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

While East Marion had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
