Soccer Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington lost against South Gibson back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 9-1 to the Hornets. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Lexington were already down 4-0.

Lexington now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for South Gibson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Lexington will look to takes advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they takes on Hardin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Gibson, they are taking a road trip to square off against Obion County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Gibson will be up against Obion County's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
