Football Game Preview: Milton Eagles vs. Johns Creek Gladiators + How To Watch

The Milton Eagles will head out to square off against the Johns Creek Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Milton's defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so Johns Creek's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Milton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: Gainesville, who was ranked fourth at the time (Milton was ranked fifth). The Eagles fell 28-16 to the Red Elephants last Friday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Bentley Hickman and NIGEL NEWKIRK. NEWKIRK had a great game and rushed for 162 yards and three scores while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Hickman did his best for the losing side, rushing for 100 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Johns Creek's offense. They were dealt a 44-0 loss at the hands of Seckinger on Friday.

Milton's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Johns Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Milton against Johns Creek in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
