Soccer Game Preview: Buford vs. Dixie

The Buford Yellow Jackets will take on the Dixie Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buford is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Buford is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Brashier Middle College Charter get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Give Buford's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Hannah Davis and Taylor Greene scored both of Buford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Meanwhile, Dixie got the win against Mid-Carolina on Friday by a conclusive 4-1. Considering Dixie have won 14 games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Buford's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Dixie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.
