Volleyball Recap: Victory Christian Comes Up Short

Victory Christian lost against Futures back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Knights. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Victory Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-23.

Leading Futures to victory were Nikka Vinokurov and Svetlana Blyshchyk. Vinokurov had 25 digs and eight aces, while Blyshchyk had 18 digs, 12 kills, and five aces. Those five aces gave Blyshchyk a new career-high. Viktoria Esyutin was another key player, getting four aces and one block.

Victory Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Futures, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Victory Christian has already played their next matchup (against John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Futures, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning on the 9th.
