Volleyball Recap: Desert Takes a Loss

Desert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Trinity Classical Academy Knights.

While Desert was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Trinity Classical Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-20.

Pai'Ea Koko paced Desert's offense, picking up three kills. Koko got some help from Benny Baladez and his eight assists. Finally, Ajani Perry kept Desert's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Desert's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Trinity Classical Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Desert will be playing in front of their home fans against Antelope Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity Classical Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against The Palmdale Aerospace Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be The Palmdale Aerospace Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
