Recap: Banner County Wildcats vs. Peetz Bulldogs
This season hasn't been kind to the Banner County Wildcats, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were outmatched by Peetz at home and fell 66-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Banner County has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Banner County had strong showings from Isaac Olsen, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds, and Jacob Parsons, who scored no points. Olsen hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Banner County struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Peetz racked up 13 assists.
Leading Peetz to victory were Noah Naegele and Rhyder Bayne . Naegele scored 12 points along with nine rebounds, while Bayne scored 20 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Chance Seglke, who scored six points along with six assists.
Banner County bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Peetz, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banner County will face off against Potter-Dix at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Peetz will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Creek Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
