Baseball Recap: Taylor Comes Up Short

Taylor lost against Cass Tech back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Griffins took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Technicians.

Jaiden Shufeldt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Donovin Hill, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Cass Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will head out to challenge Carlson at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Griffins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Marauders have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Cass Tech, they will take on Farmington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
