Softball Recap: Marlborough Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

After losing to Algonquin Regional the last time they met, Marlborough decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers came out on top against the Titans by a score of 9-5 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

The team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Cabral, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Erin Seder was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one double.

Marlborough was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Algonquin Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
