Softball Game Preview: Keller Central Chargers vs. Southlake Carroll Dragons

Keller Central hasn't had much luck against Southlake Carroll recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chargers will challenge the Dragons at 7:00 p.m.

Keller Central is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since April 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bell by a score of 10-8.

Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll made easy work of Bell on Friday and carried off a 14-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Olivia Wiske looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Scarlett Kuhn was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Olivia Mccarrick was another key player, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4.

Southlake Carroll was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Southlake Carroll's record is now 17-11. As for Keller Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15-1.

Keller Central might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Southlake Carroll when the teams last played back in March. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
