Volleyball Recap: Allen Eagles vs. Byron Nelson Bobcat
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Allen can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Byron Nelson Bobcat on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2017.

Despite the defeat, Allen saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landry McRae had 23 assists. McRae is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Byron Nelson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophee Peterson, who hit 64.3% for nine kills and 49 assists and 14 digs. That's the most kills Peterson has posted since back in October of 2024.
Allen's loss dropped their record down to 37-7. As for Byron Nelson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 39-0.
Allen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Byron Nelson, they will face off against Plano East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
