The Hesperia Scorpions will be taking part in a tournament against the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hesperia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Hesperia saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell just short of Academy for Academic Excellence by a score of 8-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Scorpions in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Angie Villolobos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Alana Rios also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Academy of Careers & Exploration came up short against Granite Hills on Monday and fell 8-3.

Laylah Cosek was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Bethany White, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Academy of Careers & Exploration's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hesperia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
