Preview: Jones vs. Meeker
Jones will challenge Meeker on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Jones were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They took the matchup and then some with a 39-0 win last Friday over Chandler. With Jones ahead 26-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Meeker made easy work of Kellyville and carried off a 32-8 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 20-0.
Their wins bumped Jones to 3-1 and Meeker to 4-0. In their win, Meeker relied heavily on sophomore Caden Wolford, who rushed for 183 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jones will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
