Softball Recap: Westfield Takes a Loss

Westfield and Zionsville squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Westfield had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Shamrocks have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Westfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Easterhaus, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Westfield now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Zionsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Westfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Zionsville, they will square off against Carmel at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
