Baseball Recap: Newfound Regional Takes a Loss

Newfound Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the White Mountains Spartans, falling 15-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bears couldn't push the score so high this time.

Newfound Regional saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abe Furtado, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Newfound Regional's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for White Mountains, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Newfound Regional will square off against Mascoma at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for White Mountains, they will challenge Littleton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
