Baseball Recap: St. Charles Comes Up Short

St. Charles had lost five straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 3-12 to make it six. They fell just short of the North Point Eagles by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to St. Charles of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

As for North Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

For North Point's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Harding, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
