Scarborough is 9-1 against South Portland since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Red Storm will be playing at home against the Red Riots at 4:30 p.m. Neither Scarborough nor South Portland posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Monday just wasn't the day for Scarborough's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windham on Monday.

Meanwhile, South Portland also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Kennebunk on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Red Riots were not able to get on the board.

South Portland's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Scarborough, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Scarborough skirted past South Portland 7-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Red Storm have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Riots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
