Basketball Recap: Forest Grove Vikings vs. Century Jaguars
Forest Grove entered their contest against Century on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Forest Grove Vikings took a 74-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Century Jaguars. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (57), the Vikings still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Kiara Green, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds for Century. Green is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games she's played. Olivia Ervin was another key player, going 7 of 11 to rack up 15 points and eight boards.
Forest Grove's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Century, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
