Football Recap: Tyler Arguinzoni Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Santa Fe

South Hills's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Santa Fe Chiefs with points to spare, taking the game 34-20. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Huskies were the (much) better team in the second half.

South Hills got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Arguinzoni out in front who rushed for 83 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, Arguinzoni posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Sebastian Morinaga was in the mix too, providing South Hills with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Hills was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 325 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

South Hills' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Santa Fe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

South Hills will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Los Altos at 1:00 p.m. on October 4. The Conquerors' defense has only allowed 8.8 points per game this season, so the Huskies' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Santa Fe, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 28-27 defeat against Covina on the 26th.
