Clark lost against Reagan back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Clark Cougars took a 53-39 bruising from the Reagan Rattlers. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Clark lost, don't look at Kristian Burgan. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 6 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds. Jaden Flemons was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Among those leading the charge was Matt Velasquez, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points and seven assists. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Luke Garrison, who posted 11 points.

Clark's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7. As for Reagan, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Clark Cougars challenge the Johnson Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Johnson will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Clark surely won't give up without a fight. As for Reagan, they will face off against Brandeis at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Reagan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.
