Football Game Preview: Maumee Panthers vs. Rossford Bulldogs

The Maumee Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Rossford Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Maumee was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 27-23 to Genoa Area.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 35-7, which was the final score in Rossford's tilt against Lake on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Flyers since September 20, 2019.

Maumee's loss dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Rossford, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Maumee against Rossford when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
