Preview: Sequatchie County Indians vs. Tyner Academy Rams

The Sequatchie County Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Tyner Academy Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sequatchie County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.

Last Saturday, Sequatchie County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-35 to Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences.

Despite their loss, Sequatchie County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Beckham Mckendrick, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Ryker Terry, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Sequatchie County struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Tyner Academy waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They breezed by Brainerd on the road to the tune of 72-44. Tyner Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season.

Sequatchie County's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Tyner Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Sequatchie County was dealt a bruising 67-33 defeat at the hands of Tyner Academy in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Sequatchie County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
