Basketball Recap: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Takes a Loss

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holy Name Green Wave. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lions have suffered since December 2, 2023.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's record is now 8-11. As for Holy Name, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin will challenge Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holy Name, they will head out to square off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Villa Angela-St. Joseph is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season.
