Softball Recap: Thomas Stone Comes Up Short

They came up short against the Great Mills Hornets, falling 15-6. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Cougars' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Spirit Benjamin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Londyn Claros, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Thomas Stone's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Great Mills, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Thomas Stone wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 21-0 defeat against Huntingtown on the 4th. As for Great Mills, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-3 win against St. Charles on the 4th.
