Baseball Recap: Eastern Tech Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Eastern Tech finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against the Pikesville Panthers, falling 8-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Mavericks were not able to get on the board.

With the loss, Eastern Tech broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3. As for Pikesville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Tech will welcome Dulaney at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pikesville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Parkville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
