Strathmore has gone 8-1 against Orosi recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Spartans will challenge the Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. Strathmore's defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so Orosi's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Strathmore is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Farmersville 63-16. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-0.

Strathmore's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gerardo Ruiz, who rushed for 170 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. Those 170 rushing yards gave Ruiz a new career-high. Isaiah Colunga was another key player, rushing for 105 yards and three TDs on only five carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Strathmore was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 518 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Strathmore's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Noah Pavone and Abel Garcia, who racked up four sacks between them.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Cardinals on Friday. Orosi took down Lindsay 20-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Orosi.
Strathmore better keep an eye on Jason De La Cruz. He was instrumental in Orosi's win, rushing for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns. De La Cruz is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 102 every time he's taken the field this season.
Strathmore now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Orosi, their record is now 4-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Strathmore has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 281 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Orosi struggles in that department as they've been averaging 349.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Strathmore strolled past Orosi in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 28-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
