Baseball Recap: Orono Takes a Loss

Orono extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-3. They came up short against the George Stevens Academy Eagles, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Wednesday.

As for George Stevens Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. The matchup marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

For George Stevens Academy's part, Wyatt Young made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Young was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Charlie Sullivan, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Spencer Young, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
