Baseball Game Preview: Fort Frye Cadets vs. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions

The Fort Frye Cadets will take on the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Fort Frye has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Fort Frye made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Caldwell, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cadets fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 11, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past Padua Franciscan 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Robby Nahra looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Frankie Clark, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and one run. Charlie Stefancin also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
