Basketball Game Preview: Scott Beavers vs. Hugoton Eagles

The Scott Beavers will face off against the Hugoton Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Scott is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Goodland just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 37-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys. The contest marked the Beavers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hugoton lost 61-37 to Holcomb on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 29th).

Hugoton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Scott, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Scott beat Hugoton 46-34 in their previous matchup on Thursday. Will Scott repeat their success, or does Hugoton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
