Basketball Recap: Valor College Prep Comes Up Short

Valor College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the LEAD Academy Panthers and fell 73-31. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.

Dreshawn Harvell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for LEAD Academy, putting up 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Darnell Seay, who posted eight points.

Valor College Prep now has a losing record at 5-6. As for LEAD Academy, they moved to 9-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Valor College Prep Wildcats face off against the Franklin Road Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Franklin Road Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for LEAD Academy, they will challenge Lawson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. LEAD Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season.
