Volleyball Recap: Coronado Gets the Win

After losing to Granbury the last time they met, Coronado decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pirates on Thursday.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Granbury still got an impressive performance from Avree Kendrick, who had nine digs and two aces.

Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Granbury, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coronado will challenge Amarillo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Granbury, they will take on Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
