Ellensburg has gone a perfect 10-0 against Grandview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Greyhounds at 3:00 p.m. Ellensburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Ellensburg turned things around against North Mason on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over North Mason. The result was nothing new for Ellensburg, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Miley Porter made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Porter was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Sarah Stueckle was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jordan Dykes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one double.

Ellensburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Grandview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 18-4 to Selah.

Ellensburg's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-2.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ellensburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Grandview struggles in that department as they've averaged .318. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Ellensburg was able to grind out a solid win over Grandview in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 22-19. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Greyhounds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
