Softball Recap: Heyworth Comes Up Short

Heyworth lost against Lexington back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hornets took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Minutemen. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grace Streenz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs. Emily Rogers was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Heyworth's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Heyworth will challenge Eureka at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lexington, they will take on Normal University at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
