Softball Recap: Decatur Heritage Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Falkville

With a playoff win on the line, Decatur Heritage Christian Academy rose to the challenge on Monday. They put the hurt on the Falkville Blue Devils with a sharp 11-1 win. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Blue Devils two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Marissa Adams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Adams was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Decatur Heritage Christian Academy let Sarah Burchell and Lexi Germany run wild. Burchell went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Germany went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave Germany a new career-high. Allie Tidwell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
