Basketball Game Preview: Crestwood Cadets vs. Waukon Indians

Crestwood is 1-9 against Waukon since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Crestwood Cadets will head out on the road to square off against the Waukon Indians at 6:45 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Crestwood was able to grind out a solid win over New Hampton, taking the game 75-67. Given the Cadets' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Chickasaws are ranked 253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Waukon didn't have too much breathing room in their match against La Crescent on Monday, but they still walked away with a 46-42 victory.

Crestwood is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points over those games. As for Waukon, their record now sits at 15-7.

Crestwood came up short against Waukon when the teams last played back in January, falling 48-39. Can Crestwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
