Basketball Preview: Flint River Academy Wildcats vs. LaGrange Academy
After four games on the road, Flint River Academy is heading back home. They will take on LaGrange Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Flint River Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
Flint River Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They were the clear victor by a 62-38 margin over LaGrange Academy. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for Flint River Academy this season.
Flint River Academy relied on the efforts of Cole Riner, who scored 21 points along with two blocks, and Cale Cartwright, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Riner scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Chaney, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds.
Flint River Academy's victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for LaGrange Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
