Baseball Recap: York Takes a Loss

York lost against Oak Park-River Forest on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dukes came up short against the Huskies, falling 14-4. The Dukes' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Ryan Lisowski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. Josh Fleming was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

York's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they have been performing well recently as they've won 19 of their last 23 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

York is taking a road trip to face off against Proviso East at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Dukes are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a 20-game losing streak. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they will host Willowbrook at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
