Soccer Game Preview: White House-Heritage vs. Liberty Creek

The White House-Heritage Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Liberty Creek Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

If White House-Heritage beats Liberty Creek with seven goals on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Everything went the Patriots' way against Monterey on Tuesday as they made off with a 7-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for White House-Heritage.

Meanwhile, Liberty Creek entered their tilt with Smith County on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Owls with a sharp 8-2 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-2.

Liberty Creek hit Smith County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rhett Sanders (3), Cash Daniels (3), Landon Socha, and Greyson Woodard.

White House-Heritage's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-10-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three contests. As for Liberty Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4-2.

White House-Heritage suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Liberty Creek in their previous matchup on Wednesday. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
